Icelandic New Energy just announced a demonstration of electric vehicles where 8 households are offered to rent consecutively a battery vehicle for one month and then a fuel cell hydrogen vehicle also for one month. Our goal is to collect reports from people in all sorts niches on their view of these New-energy vehicles and how they fit in their daily routines. The demonstration starts on 20th of August 2010 and people should send a note to glk@newenergy.is to apply. Only 8 participants will get this chance. It is essential that these households (families or roommates) have access to a electric socket and preferebly a garage for the hyddrogen vehicle. Drivers must be at least 22 years old and be interested in environmental issues. The selected participants must be ready to keep a driving log and be open for an interview on their expectations and later on their views and comments during the rent period. The users must pay for their own hydrogen and battery filling and the rent for the car will be 25.000Ikr / month inclucing insurance.
